That is pretty fucked up to say...

I mean sure he may be in a position where he is getting soem cool stuff...

But being spoiled would imply that he is ungrateful and you really can't say that with out knowing the person...

Dragging this back on-topic, I would go the 8 if it's your daily-driver. Easier in winter, won't leave you stranded at the most inconvenient moment, probably more fuel-efficient, won't cost you as much apart from the outlay.

 

I don't care for the 8's body style. Love it's drivetrain. It's a hard choice.

If I was young and busy I would take the 8. Try to keep both. Figure out a way to store the 7 as an investment.

 

id say spend 18k on the rx7.
it would be faster then a rx8 and with suspension mods etc etc it will handle just as well.

I own both. FB is tons more involving and thus fun to drive. The Rx8, however, is a great car. The FB is a great car to learn with though.

I think your parents have too much money. If you are going to have to drive this car day in and day out, the Rx8 is much more tolerable to live with; however, if you want to live with it day in and day out and have a smile on your face without having to mash your foot into the throttle (with mediocre results, I may add) then go with the FB.

Everyone I know keeps giving me **** because owning the Rx8 makes me want to get my FB done that much quicker. They don't understand why I can have such a great new car, but want to drive my old car so much more. It is just all about the involvement of the driving.

Although, the 8 handles like a dream. I can hardly wait for the weather to warm back up so I can test its limits.
