On Monday at 2:15 PM My ......

On Monday at 2:15 PM My ...... 1984 RX-7 GS died. She was being driven by my little brother home from work on highway 99 here in CA near Turlock. My brother had a grasshopper land on his leg so he looked to see were the road was going, then he looked down at the grass hopper and killed it with a sock. By the time he looked back up he saw the car was about to hit the center island so he turned the wheel right and the car started to slide. He was going about 75 mph when it started to slide. He was in the far left lane, so now he's sliding across four lines of the highway towards the right side into some trees. He slammed into a tree at about 75. Don't worry he's fine, but my car is not. He walked away with out any injures at all. No other cars were hit by the car as it went across the highway.

My white GS died with only 81K miles on it. If anyone needs an engine or trans drop me a message. Gosh I only had the car for one year, it was given by my grandma. She bought it new the day after her 50 birthday. Its sad to see it gone, I was hoping to drive it for the rest of my life ... oh well sometimes we can dream right?

I'll be posting some pictures of the car when I have time.

That sucks beyond any words I can come up with man. Maybe you can find a chassis with a blown motor?

Maybe you want my 85GSL? 83k, runs great, looks good inside and out. Just a couple hours away. Nice car.

This is exactly how I feel as well. That car was part of your family, for your grandma to buy it new and pass it down to you is something special. I'm sorry to hear that you lost it. Make sure to save something from it, though, just for remembrance.

I am also glad to hear your brother is alright.

Woah "Grashopper" from hell. The important thing is no injury.

I almost crashed a truck once cause I has just poured a huge 40oz big gulp cup of V8 juice and ice and the whole thing fell over on my feet while driving the truck up on a ferry ramp at Port Aransas.

I have learned to just deal with that stuff later and keep on driveing.
