I had the RESpeed front and rear coil over kits installed on my '79 . It sits 13" from center of hub to fender lip , so about 1' lower from stock . It is noticeable and looks great. Also rides on rails and no binding noise in the watts linkage or front end.

very satisfied with outcome.

I don't have a pic of it lowered and it is away in storage for the winter. but FWIW, here is a side shot of stock height , try an imagine the fenders one inch lower front and back, the tires site snugly in the well and the front kamei air dam I have is only a few inches off the ground. , not much help I know , but he asked

I will take a similar shot next spring for comparison. I expect though the pictures won't really give the same impact as really seeing it , and getting into it , which is noticeably lower at first.

I'm also running Respeed coilovers (www.re-speed.com) and am very happy with them. I have the race version, which lets you drop the car as low as you want. I could drop it all the way down to the frame rails if I wanted to.

Performance is outstanding, as is the customer support. Billy is a great guy to deal with.

What about the rear suspension? i thought respeed only had coilovers for the front.

edit: just looked at the site, sorry, i get it now. not true coilovers. i was confused how that was gonna work. cool tho. i want!

My buddy's 7 runs Eibach 1" drop springs with adjustable Konis up front and KYB GR-2s out back, looks and handles great. Bit too much rebound for my liking, but the Konis just need some tweaking.
