Thumbs up Leaving the scene.... for a little.

Well it seems like the time for me has come to leave the rotary scene. I've come to the conclusion that the RX isn't for me at this point right now. I need something that is a little better on gas and better in the snow. I'm also headed to college and don't have the $ to spend on a lot of gas. It's sad to see it go, but I thought I would let you guys know. Everytime I walk up from behind and see the widebody curves and sleek design of the car, I know I'm going to miss it a lot. I then start it up and hear the brap brap brap of the engine and give it a couple revs, and I'm know I'm going to miss the unique engine that I have. I do plan on another first gen some day, but it might not be for a few years. If the car doesn't sell within 2 months keep an eye out for a part-out. But thanks for everyones help on figuring out all the problems I've encountered, and thanks for helping me learn more about a really cool car. Adios.

Sorry to see you go, but college is more important than a car. You'll be back.

You won't get a lot of money for your car.. so Don't sell it. You WILL regret it. Buy another beater, and keep working on your car on the side, little by little.

I's very difficult to find a clean FB/SA anymore, much less one with a recently painted Mariah Mode One widebody.

When you do want to work in it again, she'll be waiting for you.

I think you wil regret selling. I am heading to college next year while working full time supporting children and I will still keep mine. Then again I have a DD already. I have been thinking of selling one of my bikes to be able to aford finishing my car.

I know I'm going to regret it, but I really need the $ to buy a DD because I have very little. My plan is that I know where to find a 100% stock SA with very low miles on it (my hidden secret that will be staying put), and I know where to get the widebody and the mikuni carb and all other mods done to the engine. So right there I can basically rebuild my car. When I have the money one day, I'm going to rebuild it right It might be a little bit, but I'm going to do it. I hopefully will be able to purchase the SA within the next 5 years just because of its low price and the fact that it's been sitting for over 10 years in a garage. I will keep you guys updated.

I bought my first 7 in college as a good gas mileage car. I was going from a '64 galaxie that got 9mpg so it was a big improvement.

If only I knoew this before buying a brand new Mariah and paying to get it painted etc. How much are you looking to get for this car, I may need twins and mine is currently sitting at around 400 horses and is definately just a track-day toy.

Edit:
Damn, nevermind. I just found your ad and yours is rougher for a DD than mine.

I almost sold my car. It was posted on ebay and i got many many calls, a guys even offered me more than what i was asking. That's when i notice i could never let her go. My girlfriend even cried when i almost sold it. I say keep it you wont get much, go get a job at micky d's to support your dd and put the rex away. If you do decide to get rid of it don't part it out, that will make one less rx in the world i hate seeing cars get parted out.

I already have a job that I work at everyday right now. I know it's gonna be hard for me to let it go, but I need the money for a DD. I will go pick up my secret RX within 5 years when I have money, and I will start the rebuild of a WB once again. So don't worry too much, I will bring her back to life
