I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I used to be quite active here in the forum. I sold my old '79 RX-7 jalopy/track car six years ago and have been RX-less since that time. But today, I'm off to look at a very pretty '81. If it's in good condition and we can work on the price a bit, I'll be back, baby!

My goal for this car is to restore the interior and keep the majority of the car as stock as possible. I'll probably do the emissions delete for simplicities sake but I'm looking for a summer-time daily driver rather than a tuned jalopy like my old SA.

I'm going to make a build thread and document everything, so hopefully someone can get some use out of what I'm doing.

The engine doesn't need doing, it pulls strong, idles pretty well and doesn't appear to be burning an excessive amount of oil.
