IMSA bumper owners
Heyy all!
So I just got my car towed and the ******** smashed my IMSA front bumper on a huge curb and broke it in 3 places. So I'm suing the ******** because they're saying they didn't do it. This is what i need from all you youz. Since Mazda nolonger makes the replacemetn bumper so there is no price listed anywhere. I have to prove fair market value of the item now that it is out of production and that it is considered a collector item. Anyone I mean anyone that has ever bought one if you could contact me I need just a written and signed piece of paper that says what you paid for it that would be great. Any other Ideas or info anyone can gie would be great.

fair market value in my opinion would be in the neighborhood of $300. given the rarity of the bumper and the condition one may find a used one in, i personally feel that $300 shoud cover a used one. brand new in today's prices and you could expect $500 as a fair guess.

I've paid $300 for both of the ones I've bought and I sold one for $300 this was 4-5 years ago now when Mazda still had new ones available. The issue is that Mazda sold the last new one about 3 years ago now, and I havent seen a new one since. Since Mazda isn't making anymore value must go up in absence of availibity now. I'm hoping to see it closer to $400 considering the lost wadges I encoured today and the $250 they made me pay just to drop my car in the spot. Once the car is in the air they have the right to make you pay, but they have to hook up before they move your car. The asshat lifted my car and dragged it out of the sopt and tried to hook up with me there. I called the cops and since it was private property I had to pay him to get it dropped, but technically if i new better he didn't have me properly hooked up so if i wouldve waited for the cops he would've had to drop me for free. the guy kept trying to hook the car in, but i wouldn't let him.

I parked in a gym spot and went into the DR's office next door and they gym tried to have me towed. Kinda my fault, but I was only inside literally 5 minutes. One 2 inch crack in the top of the stock bumper and 2 1" cracks in the bottom of it. It's not bad, but I'm not at all happy about it.

Plus the cost of installation and finishing.... However, will the towing company be liable for non-stock aftermarket type parts? Or, will they be liable at all since you were "illegally" parked?
Best of luck to you man....

Add labor, paint and car rental fees while your's is 'in' the shop. I can't believe some of the asshats they hire to tow cars. As low as the fiberglass front is on my widebody, I don't even think they could use the wheel clamps that slide under the front end and not damage it. If any part of mine is damaged beyond repair, I have to buy the entire kit. BD will not sell individual pieces.

A tow truck driver actually put a tow hook through my front bumber a few years ago. The hook let go when he was putting it on the trailer and it grabbed onto my front IMSA bumber without him noticing. I was very happy at the time. lol
