I'm back baby!!!!

Twas a year ago, almost to the day when I went for a summer cruise in my AWESOME creme (pronounced crem') colored 85, 7. I happened to be with the girl of my dreams, and we had just spent the day at the river enjoying burgers and the hot 90 degree sun. I was feeling a little squirrely and decided to take my girl down a rather twisty 5-mile canyon road. The sun was setting and the revs were high as I hit every corner with the perfect grace.

Suddenly, and without warning a loud noise was heard, and my car would not accelerate. I pulled over and a spew of profanity began to come from my mouth. The clutch was gone, toast, and dead. I called AAA, the tow-truck driver knew me by name, as this is not the first break-down I have had with teh 7. I left for Germany a week later. I was gone for 2 months.

After I returned to the great US oh A I had a lot of things on my plate, moving into a new house, (the 7 was towed accordingly,) and then the winter hit. My 7 sat there under it's dismal grey car cover waiting for the day it coulod once again rule the roads. My saab 9000 turbo would have to do with it's white leather seats and space for more then two people.

Finally the cold winter was over, and I had ordered a new clutch from Atkins Rotary. I'm proud to say that after 3 days hard work my Rex is BACK BIATCHES........

Things I learned:
might as well just remove the whole exhaust to get to the tranny. never let your friend work on the car alone while you go geta cold beer inside...(tried to bleed my clutch, with out bolting down the slave cylinder or keeping the master full of fluid >.<!!!) my U-joints are in great condition!!!

That's a nice feeling isn't it? Took me 3 days after getting back from Deal's Gap to replace my fried clutch and swap a transmission. I think I've been too hard on the clutch since the car is very tempermental now. On the plus side I can now pull a transmission in 10 minutes if need be.
