"I think it's a transmission..."

So I received an e-mail from one of my co-workers this morning, sent last night, and I thought you guys would enjoy reading it. I work for Car and Driver's website, caranddriver.com, and I have a rotor and a housing sitting on my desk. Read what the e-mail says:

Jim,

Thought you’d like to know: I’m at my desk while the cleaning crew is working in the DEA pen and I hear them stop working and one says to the other, “now, what’s this?”

“I think it’s a transmission or somethin…”

“Must be off a rice burner. Says ‘Mazda’ here.”

You’ve got perhaps the coolest desk accessory in the office, and even the people who don’t know what it is know it.

Jared

I was amused, and also flattered that I have the coolest desk accessory in the office.

I had that keychain, and it was nice to be able to show people how it works. Then Kentetsu got me drunk and chatter began about how easily the rotor pops out. Wouldn't you know it, the rotor popped out...somehow. I haven't been bothered to put it back together. I plan to get the rear rotor and housing from my engine to display when it gets torn down in the spring. Just blew a rear apex seal so it should be a nice useless mess.
