I think I'm gunna hurl! 85S about to be crushed

So I was at a bone-yard in Fredonia WI yesterday looking for a Taurus radiator fan and what do I stumble upon???? A near mint condition White (burgundy interior)85 S with an automatic trans....the thing had like 75k on it, the engine compartment looked like Sgt Fox owned it, and the interior was immaculate.
Obviously I was going to keep this gem to myself.....so I go into the office to ask the guy at the desk, and he tells me it's a "cash for clunkers" car and he's got to crush it in like 3 weeks! The engine has been disabled, and he can't sell the rolling chassis! I nearly puked!
I wasn't able to get pictures, but trust me, this thing was CLEAN! No rust, no dings, no scratches, nothing.
MODS I know this is a borderline post, but I'm not trying to get business for these guys...I'm just trying to let my Rotary Brothers know about a good deal, so call Dylan at Auto Parts & Recycling 262-692-2447 if you need body parts interior parts ......anything.....don't let this beauty die in vain!

If I lived anywhere near Fredonia, WI I'd consider. Just too far away to bear the cost to salvage this beauty. Thanks for getting the world out.

That's the problem...EVERYTHING was good! The exhaust manifold looked brand spanking new.

Buy everything you can! Then sell it for profit, or use it. I'd like to see it, but it's sad to hear that's it being crushed.....

How did it qualify for cash for clunkers? It's too old IIRC. I thought only FC's and FD's were elgible for that.

Cash for Clunkers applies to any vehicle under 25 years old with a "new" combined mileage of 18mpg. If that were the case, then it would have been 24 years old when the program was first in effect.
