I take a picture of my engine!

Or what remains of it! Car was smoking like crazy at idle so I had the turbo replaced since can no longer source parts for IHI RHB6. Still smoked. Pulled the engine. Rear housing shows massive chrome flaking and surprised it produced any compression and with only about 70k original miles. Replaced with one of the last Mazda remanufactured engines with low mileage. Silky smooth once again and no more smoking!

I sandblasted and clearcoated the rear housing and rotor for a keepsake. Sits in my office and generates lots of confused expressions.

Looks nice! Did you actually use sand to blast with? Or was it another type of media blasting? Need to get a housing done, but dont want to damage the surface with something too harsh aye! Haha. Do you have any more pictures of it?
