LeMons is an endurance race using junker cars, they get crushed in the end no matter what really... : /

That isn't true. The only car that gets crushed is the "Peoples Curse" winner (or loser if you prefer).

The other cars all live to see other LeMons races if the owners so choose. I've even seen a few of them show up in IT classes oddly enough.

the point is that no self respecting RX-7 owner would let that happen to an RX-7.

That car was looked like it got trashed in the rollover No real big loss in crushing it, save for the rollcage, which is kind of a one time use thing anyways, and seeing how he got that one time use out of it, and/or it was welded into the car he couldn't really do anything with it anyways. If you look, he took the engine and drivetrain out of the car and just let them crush the pre-smashed shell. Not that big of a deal... Still bothers me, but I understand why it was done and am okay with it.

What about people that race them in IT or Spec7 and put them into the wall? He didn't expect to flip it, and I'm sure he had to change his underoos afterwards. While I too hate those that purposely destroy a good RX-7 (or any other iconic or fun sportscar) He was racing it, as many do, and there are risks in racing such as flipping or hitting a wall or slamming into another car. It happens. He's also not the first one to enter a first gen in the LeMons.

I would use an RX7 only if it came from the north with terminal cancer.
