How many 83 Limited Edition owners are on here?
Just curious, I know of a few off the top of my head, and pics are always good
I had one at one point, but it was rusted beyond saving (at least given my body work skills at the time), this was about 6 years ago, but many of the parts live on in my 2 FB's (also both 83's, a S and a GS)

This should be interesting. I've always wanted an 83 Limited but have never owned one. Heck, I can't even find a set of wheels from one anymore. They are probably my favorite package of all the first gen offerings...

Other than the maroon interior I like them a lot too. 83 is definatly my favorite year, all the Fb's I've had/have are 83's. It's just too bad the LE I got was so rusty, would have been nice to save it. Having said that I saved literally everything off that car, only the shell went off the scrapper, so it wasn't a waste at least. I'm surprised you haven't found the wheels, they pop up on ebay every so often. There is a set up there now I'm looking at getting, only about 60 miles from me....

the wheels are beautiful but the combination of the chateau silver and the wheels sells the car for me. i really like the LE. the rewinds look nice but i'm with 82transam and ourxseven, i like the stock LE wheels better.

i like to be an antagonist every once in a blue moon. i've always wanted an LE but just have never found the one i was looking for. there's one in a junkyard about 45 minutes away from me. i've been trying to buy the car for about 5 years now. the guy said he'd sell me the car but said that i'd have to wait until he can get it out. i gave him my number and every so often i go back to check and see if the car is still available. here are some pics i could find of the car. i have more but i'll have to look around. and yes i've tried to buy the wheela and the owner wont part themfrom the car. these pics sould be enough to break your heart as it did mine.

Oh man that does hurt.... Those wheels are gonna be so corroded by the time you manage to get it... Good luck!
And yes Matt G you were one of the ones I thought of when making this thread, I've only seen a few pics here and there of your 83 LE, didn't realize how damn clean that thing is! Beautiful!
Damn I think I'm gonna go on the hunt for another one of these and save it this time!

heeh same here Ham! I've been toying with the idea of making a LE clone out of my 83 GS, might **** off some of the purists though, since it woudln't be a real LE, nor would I have the red interior, I'd keep that black...
Matt are those Miata center caps or what? They look good!

That partly sunken LE wheel appears in much better shape than the engine compartment. Has the hood been taken off, or just left open? Seeing the tree branch juxtaposed over the fender is not my idea of a beautiful nature scene. How sad indeed.
Wishing you best luck coaxing the owner to let you give it new purpose.

lets hope the none yard still has the car. it needs a windshield though. i have one that i have been saving for two years specifically for this LE. i plan on going up there when i have a couple of days off in a row and talking to the owner about getting the car. i'd like to get it as early as next weekend...though it never seems hopeful when i go up there and talk to the guy...

Whats his hesitation about? Does he think its worth more than you are offering or something? People crack me up, they have cars in desperate need of fixing up and its obvious they won't be getting around to it yet they still won't sell them to someone who will take care of it....
I'd say it needs a bit more than a windshield dave
Break out the sandblaster and welder!

it needs everything. the guy told me $200 for the entire car with title. ok, great. i cant get it because its buried behind many other cars and stuffed way in the back. the yard is a mess.

Must be quite a yard lol. I assume you've offered to help move all the stuff around in order to get it out? $200 is a steal, the one I had was in about the same condition and was $250, also had a title...
I say we get a posse together and help Dave get that LE out of there!! Who's with me!!??
EDIT: I'm with Sean on this one. Have you tried offering to move the junk that is blocking the car? I'm assuming that its other cars which are blocking the exit, which is no easy task at times. Especially when they are stacked on top of each other on uneven terrain.
