Help .. rear quarter window

Ok this may sound dumb, I find it humbling. But how the heck do you get the piece off on the rear corner of the quarter glass without breaking it?? It covers a bolt you appear to have to remove to get the glass out. I removed from the donor vehicle and broke them both but would assume there is a correct way to remove them.

thanks

i've never gotten one out intact. seems like a part thats meant to break.. doesn't mean there's not a way to remove them without breaking them, it just means that the solution has eluded me as well.

+1.... the triangle is 2 pieces. you can A) tape it back together, or B) try to get some flat thing in there to go between the body/glass and the INNER bit, and pop em apart

The SA triangle is held on by a combination of spring clips on pins, and a piece of double-sided tape, the FB's are two-part and (IIRC) skip the tape. I've salvaged a few intact over the years, but usually only because the tape has let go from age. The clips get rusty and stick, but slow, patient pressure and rocking motions can work 'em out.

Helps if you've seen them out, as then you know where the pins are.

The SA ones are a touch easier to pull, as they are one-piece, but they are a different shape from the FB ones.

SA up top, FB on bottom:
