a good story..

Hey all!

I would say im new to the site but ive spent time here before. Many moons ago I inherited a 1984 GSL-SE Black w/Red from my step mother. She actually ordered the car new and still had the build sheet and had all records down to the last oil change.
Excited about the car as since my childhood it has been one of my favorites. My plan was to really doll her up and maybe put a street port in her. at the time you could get a long block for about $1850.00.

I had the car torn down to within ten bolts of yanking the engine.

Unfortunately other priorities surfaced and I had to put her aside so I parked the car at a family members house, storing her correctly of course. there the car sat for many years until my cousin decided that they wanted to part the car out for extra $$. Well I then grabbed the car and put it behind my Dad's place. I stored her the best I could but she was going to have to be outside in the elements for the first time in a loooonnnnnggg time.So i placed down a tarp for the car to sit on and bought a nice cover...And the she sat for many years.

3 covers later....

I have made the commitment to bring her back to life. Although I dont have a ton of time. Id like to have her nicely prepared by the end of June. I can do some work myself as I am very familiar with the rotary and am not a terrible mechanic. But I am willing to go the the RIGHT mechanic and sey.."Hey, do this".

Looks like shes still a looker, and being your mom's, definitely bring her back. I say see what you can do if you have the tools and some know how, and of course, we will help when we can with questions and even parts in the classifieds.
