Fall 2010 NJ Pics of my 83 S T2
Hey Guys, I've been trying to make it a habit every fall (my favorite season) to really detail my Fb's and go out and take some pics to post here. I didn't have time to detail both Fb's, but I was able to put a few hours into washing/waxing my T2 FB on Saturday and my GF and I went out today and took a bunch of pics at different locations near my house. Also made sure to include an engine shot since any mention of a T2 swap requires proof per forum rules lol
I apologize in advance, I was using a borrowed camera (Nikkon D60, real nice SLR) and I didn't realize the time/date stamp was on... Also didn't realize I'd have to shrink the files so much to post them here but such is life
Questions comments welcome!
Sean

Gorgeous, how do you like the RT-615s? I've been looking into a set once my current G-Force Sports [205/55/15 & 225/50/15] are done and they're close to $40 cheaper [205/45/15] then my current sizes.
as always, outstanding pics!! that car is every performance FB owner's wet dream. the more i see that car the more i want to go to NJ and drive it! oh and do a 20B swap in your 79 Limited..

Thanks guys!
I like the Falkens, they grip really well for a street performance tire and even work quite well in the rain. They are the original RT615's, not sure what is different about the newer version but there is a new one out now.
Dave, hopfully you'll be able to get out here at some point. Wish I had the budget for a 20b, especially since a local engine importer has a bunch of them sitting there....

yeah all the badges, side marker lights, side moldings and antenna hole have been filled in or removed. Thinking about putting the badges back on though, at least the fender ones.
Don't want to threadjack, but please post where you found RT615 cheaper than G-Force Sports.

Dave: Agreed, the fender badges might add quite a bit to the car visually, and I would definatly use adhesive, not keen on drilling new holes for them.
ztfdrake61: springs are the NLA Eibach prokit springs.
Jibaro, I do have a build thread of sorts but much has been changed on the car since I posted it, but i'll post the link anyway as it gives you an idea of the amount of body and metal work that went into the build. Some things to note that have changed since that thread would be that I ditched the tri link and panhard bar (much too loud for street use, or at least for my taste, I have plans to make my own next year) also ditched the front cover mounting system and made custom center iron mounts (I have the re-speed rack and pinion kit which frees up a bunch of space for center iron mounts) which allows me to use the fc front cover and S5 omp with no issues. Plenty of other changes as well, I could probably make a whole new thread just about them lol

Sweet ride! I've always liked those Vert rims. The air dam and spoiler balance both ends nicely too. Yes, I think the fender emblems would add a nice touch of class. I used to run mine that way, along with the Rotary Engine on the rear untill deciding to go back stock. Also, you could point to them next time an admirer says nice "Z"car.

LOL yea I guess I am getting old school, I've had this car nearly 10 years.... I've been meaning to get the Re-speed triangulated strut tower brace for a while now, guess thats one my 2011 "to buy" list
Check out my thread in the archive called: How to make your own strut bar. It is a copy of the old Rotary Engineering strut bar. I spent a bunch of time looking at old pictures and was able to copy it. I made mine for about $50 and then triangulated it for another $25 or so. Worked really really well, until I sold my 1983 GS. I should've kept it.

Yeah I remember you made one a while back, maybe I'll look into that as a possibility.
To be honest I've always wondered why you sold you previous 2 FB's after putting so much work into them...

Looking good Sean!
