E brake

Hey guys, I have a 85 gsl se and I'm wondering what the e brake system is for this car. It uses the normal brake pads right? My e brake got stuck on while I was driving. I came to a stop and the whole back of the car was smoking. The brakes work fine now, after I got it unstuck. Is there an easy way of adjusting the e brake handle?
Thanks!

The e-brake pulls two cables, one for each side, which close both calipers using the stock brake pads - yes. You can adjust the pull (amount of cable used) using the front cable attached to the e-brake handle or you can individually adjust each side back at the caliper. I'd recommend doing both in order to ensure the problem doesn't happen again.

Thanks! My brake pads were already low so I think I'll just replace them.
