Dizzy Install
The paint mark on the crank pulley is no longer visible. How do I line up the distributor correctly?

You can use the flat spot on your flywheel to get it in the ballpark before stabbing the dizzy. There are a couple saved threads in the 1st gen archives about it. Here's a link to one.

Since you have a 1979, the e-shaft hub and pulley have a hole for the aluminum rivet. This will reference the pulley and SHOULD allow you to find the mark in the metal for the dizzy timing marks.
When I take mine off for the first time, I take a small file and mark the timing marks.
