I estimate it's only about 170 hp. Too bad you'll be in Canada.

Nope, actually I won't. I'll be at the dyno, but I probably won't be running because I'm out of money again and I need a new O2 sensor. It'll be much more interesting once I have the tune dialed in anyway. But I don't anticipate much over 170 at the wheels.

Or maybe I ought to go to Cali.

Seriously, though, the car isn't much to look at. Looks like an RX-7 with 214K miles, really. I'd like to change that eventually.

you actually have a "draw through setup". your supercharger SUCKS the air in right so its a darw through, but blow through is a better setup. look in the book "maximum boost" by corky bell.

but if iam wrong then iam sorry. just i cant really see the details in your PIC's
but nice job man

the edelbrock carb sucks man. everytime i hit hard on the pedal it holds me back! only boosting 6psi wtf! the secondarys jets are mess up. and i am using a mickey mouse idler pulley8 rib at this momnet. cause the one from camden is made out of plastic and broke. TWICE! they no longer have the 10 ribs. what can i do? I'm no expert on how carbs works too. so thinking of getting a different carb.

I have a 6,7,8 and 9 pulley. The 7 is most ideal, 8 and 9 really heat up the air with the increased boost. I have 2 edelbrocks, a mighty demon and 3 holleys. Each have their advantages, all ranging from 600-800 cfm. The gatorback works the best. Buy some belt dressing for the pulley, big difference! Word of warning though, the belt slippage is a safety mechanism for the charger..but it will get addictive!

Wrong, I ran mine with a half bridge and worked great, the s/c really tames the bridgeport. I could idle comfortably at 1200 rpm. I am streetported now, long story though.

What edelbrock carb u using?

Im running a edelbrock 600 on my SC 12a and what i did was change the stepup spring from a 5 to a 8 for a instant secondary activation and changed the metering jets from 100 primary to 104 and 95 secondary to 98, that fixed my problem.

Changed my pulley from a -7 to a -9 for 4 more pounds of boost (11P) and beleive me you can feal those extra pounds, next step im about to wrap the headers cause it dose get kinda hot down there but my hood scoop helps a little for now.

I actually talked to atkins and pulleyboys and Bridgeport and SC are a great combination, theres actually a car in Amarillo TX with a 9 camden SC full bridgeport in the 9 seconds.

It is actually a racecar, and talk about no belt slip! LOL

Yeah, the Camden kit is draw-through. But how can't you see the details? See the carb sitting on top of the blower? Lol.

I wish I had the money to drop on a set of Gilmer pulleys. I'm freaking tired of belt slippage. I have been meaning to pick up some belt dressing, but that just seems like a band-aid that doesn't fix the underlying problem, which is that the 6-rib pulleys are just too narrow for decent grip. I don't buy that it's protecting the supercharger, because with a -10 pulley it'd be spinning far faster than the RPM I'm subjecting it to with the -7 and only a 7K redline.

As for the Holley vs. Edelbrock thing, I didn't notice a huge difference between the two aside from my lack of a choke cable making cold starts with the Holley slightly more difficult. However, it did feel like I picked up some power in the lower gears with the Holley, possibly because of the mechanical secondaries or even just different AFRs; I still haven't successfully had my wideband hooked up to it.

Seriously, though, if I were to do it again, I'd cough up the dough for an EFI setup. This stumbling on left-hand turns is driving me nuts.

Oreilly has all these things if not they'll order it, u can also go to the edelbrock website, it'll be under carb performance and modifications. Metering jets and stepup springs are the most basic thing u can swap and will give you a noticible change in your carb.

Parts number:
My carb 1405 performer series.

Metering jets:
.98 my upgraded secondarys= #1427
.100 = #1428
.101 my upgraded primary = #1429
.104 = #1430

Stepup springs:
Set # 1464 (factory 5 upgrade to 7 pink springs).
