Well at least he's consistent. Between eBay and the forum, he's yet to use a single period. You gotta wonder if the guy's really got any attention to detail.

caveat emptor
From an eBay listing the costs to restore are impossible to accurately estimate.
He should have provided more photos, in particular the Enginebay. The lack of the ancient turbocharger is not by the fact a bad thing. Actually it makes the opportunity to replace the engine with a modern 13B turbo.
However, this car likely needs much cosmetic work. After the purchase, you are spending first for example $5,000 for paint, $2,000 for a new top, then replace rotten hoses, seals, belts. If the Trunk seal is leaking, there may exist hidden rust. All this, before the cost of performance upgrades, to match the intimidating widebody appearance.
"ORIGINAL TIRES FROM 1982 AND STILL IN GOOD SHAPE" - Take note to reflect the owner's powers of observation and standards of quality.
"THERE IS A CRACK IN THE FENDER AND A DING ON THE DOOR THATS ABOUT IT FOR BODY WORK THERE MIGHT BE A FEW SCRATCHES" - This is an owner's opinion, as seen with a rose-colour lens, not a critical eye.
"THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE THE WOOD GRAIN STUFF WAS STARTING TO PEEL" - Two halves of the sentence are at odds with each other. Peeling veneer does not make a great shape.
There would be a good potential in this car in any case. It would be nice to see in good hands and restored.

well first of all why would you buy something like that and start changing the color and the engine. I can understand all of the hoses and what not the stuff that gets old with age plus a good detail on the paint and a good go throu the interior its the whole look and feel of the car whats important, I mean I am not looking to buy it so I can tare the thing down if I would want to do that then I would just start with a whole new car and do it the way I want it, instead of paying a good chunk of change for something I wont even use.

Really a unique ride. One of those things where its well worth what someone will pay for it. I would pay a helluva lot more than I could pay.
By the way, say an avatar not two days after that motor trend (or whatever) article was posted last week. Guy was cruisin down the DC beltway with the top down. Damn near wrecked myself before I checked myself.

Lives on the Forum
lol.
To the owner of the car; you can't be too hard on kleinke because all he had to work with was your description of the car. And I think he does bring up some good points. Working on a deal this big, you really should have taken the time to write up a decent description (yes, complete with proper punctuation) and a good set of photos. Showing photos of any damage or areas in need of repair shows the potential buyer that you are not trying to hide anything.
The puctuation and spelling are important because this is all the reader is going to have to judge you by. Is he capable of taking good care of something like this? Is he able to perform good work? Does he pay attention to detail? Etc. Typing your description in all capital letters, with no punctuation, and numerous spelling areas, you might as well have used a crayon clenched in your fist. It does not convey a feeling that you are able to do any of the things listed above. Now, maybe you are a great guy who really does do nice work and takes good care of his stuff. But nobody will ever know that by reading what you write. If written communication is not your strong point, then you should have taken the time to have someone proof read it for your, or even rewrite it for you. Seriously, this is one of those things where if you're going to do it, then take the time to do it right.
Imagine that you are the one looking to buy a car from a thousand miles away. What would you want to know about it? What would you want to see?
Very nice car man, good luck with your sale...
P.S. I'm not trying to bust your ***** here. I just couldn't sleep so I had some time to kill. I am taking the time to write all of this in the hopes that you can benefit from it. There are plenty of things that I am not good at, and for those things I find an expert and get help. Take care...

Considering the price of one of those new and the condition it's in now the last I looked the bid was ~$5k I seriously believe who ever gets it will be more than happy with the car, even if it's just the start of a restoration or resto/mod project.
I really... really need to get some weeds for my FB.

Hi:
This car looks like one built by Pacific Avatar for a client in Rhode Island. 12A engine. Color scheme, Wheels; Compomotive Modulars 16" front 17" rear. Wide body treatment with unique front fender treatment; customer request. Hood is different. NACA duct isn't the same. Looks as thought it was an add on. I have original production pictures and also pictures of finished car if you are interested. If this is the car I could verify with the VIN.
