Calendar Picture Submission Info
Alright, well I do not have the amount of people I thought would be interested in this project, but I am going ahead and starting the submission process.
Here are some basic rules or requirements for this process;
Heres a few things to remember when taking your images;
I can always do some digital retouching, but I don't want to spend hours on one single image. If that's what it takes, then so be it.
Submissions:
There are a few ways to do this.
That is about it for now. If I have more things I need to add I will post a new entry or edit this one in bold. If I missed something, tell me. Send a comment on here.
Thanks!

Here are some basic rules or requirements for this process;
- No thumbnails!
- The highest resolution image you have available
- Not your car, DO NOT submit the image.
- No blurry images
- Try not to send 'grainy' or 'noisy' images. I will do my best to get rid of the noise if it has some though.
Heres a few things to remember when taking your images;
- USE A TRIPOD!!!!! (I can't stress this one enough)
- Low ISO Speed in most cases. High ISO produces noise in images.
- Try different shots/settings on the camera. Play with it.
- Flash is nice sometimes, but if you know how to use manual mode, try it out. This will produce a 'real' light rather than flash.
- On manual mode, long shutter speed allows more light in, short lets less in. FSTOP/Aperature, the higher the FSTOP, the less depth in the image. Good for macro shots.
- Does your camera have RAW files? If it's a Digital SLR, you most likely do. Check the setting. JPG+RAW or something.
- Make sure the settings are set for the largest possible image.
I can always do some digital retouching, but I don't want to spend hours on one single image. If that's what it takes, then so be it.

There are a few ways to do this.
- E-mail the pictures to me, better yet, if sending multiple images, send a ZIP file.
- Sign up for my gallery - http://shoandgo.com/gallery - It is not finished yet design wise, but it functions fine.
- Send a link to me. I would not prefer this one though. It will work if need be.
That is about it for now. If I have more things I need to add I will post a new entry or edit this one in bold. If I missed something, tell me. Send a comment on here.

Wow, sorry about the most critical information;
my email is chris @ shoandgo.com
I figured out the problem with the gallery. I created the gallery with the intentions of running a forum a couple months ago. The registration link is here - http://shoandgo.com/forum/index.php?action=register
What happens with that link is you register for the forum, and it instantly creates a personal gallery for you with your forum name and password.
Also is a nice little garage thing where you can display your car if you wish.
The deadline for the images, if we do 2008, should be Feb 10th. I know it is soon, which is why I am now leaning to go with 2009 to allow more picture submissions for the people who do not read these posts.
If we go with 2009, the deadline will be November something.

I am going to play this whole thing safe and let everyone take more pictures for 2009.
Thinking about it, it is almost February and these will not be put out til end of February.
Plus, I don't have nearly as many as I need yet.
Thanks to those who submitted, all your images are stored on my computer.
Go out there and take some more pictures for 2009 because it WILL be out for then!
