For most any 1st gen, the price is a bit high, but taking into account all of the work that's been done and milege, it could easily be worth 4k. Even more if the body is totaly rust free, which is extremely rare from the rust belt north. If you can find no flaws and get it down to 4500 or less, I'd say it's a bargain.

Here is the Million $Q- it says rarely driven - meaning, presumably it has SAT for the most part of 5 yrs? Unless correctly stored (and few are) - cars suffer sitting around poorly, to be kind. All the sludge sitting in oils, coolant, brake lines and the worst: fuel system could mean you're in for a potential long haul getting it road worthy. This is esp true in the injected SE's. You don't want to start trying to troubleshoot THAT system (tho guys here do all the time). Obviously, you'll want to see it running and drive it - if it checks out - and as Trichoid sez, no rust issues, then the price may be reasonable - a 9000mi SE just sold in Victoria for $10,600, so one with 70K mi /$5K is in the ball park, tanking economy notwithstanding. Worth dropping $100+ at the mazda dealership or local rotor shop with someone who knows what to look for.
