Apparently they are intercooler piping, but with a built in intercooler. Awesome idea, but it is about $400 for a 12" length!

that's been around for awhile. pretty good for a mid engine car with limited access to fresh air needed for a standard air to air intercooler. not going to be worth it on an fb.

If mounted on top, it would make a nice heat soat to help capture all of that wasted heat engine in the bay and properly channel it into the intake.
Even if mouted in the front, the only contact with the cool airflow is the limited surface area on the outside of the pipe. There is no way that this could dissipate heat as well as a regular intercooler. Now, if you had it running through an ice box...
