84 GSL-SE Fuel Pump Relay Location

I'm trying to find and test my fuel pump relay.

It's suppose to be under the dash.

I've checked all under the dash and can't find it (OEM or aftermarket).

I did find this in the engine bay, mounted to the backside of the driver side strut housing.

Could this be the fuel pump relay?

A search brought this up concerning the fuel cut relay, posted by tperry 10/13/09
13b 1st gen fuel cut relay location
Well.... Looks like Crit gets the "attaboy" (and my thanks). The Mazda guys (both parts and service) were little help - I contacted both the Midland and Odessa dealerships looking for someone who was 1st gen knowlegeable and came up empty. I decided to trace the wires from the relay connection on the passenger side floor board recommended by Crit and lo and behold - it's a direct connection to the fuel pump wiring - so indeed, on 13B 1st gen vehicles the relay IS located on the passenger side at the base of the ECU beneath the removable cover plate. And, the carb versioned 12A's is (I guess) beneath the dash on the driver's side adjacent to the steering column. The relays are different! Both in physical appearance and wiring configuration - 4 wire for 12A and 5 wire for 13B - THANKS CRIT!!!!!!

Note, the FSM refers to this as the Circuit Opening Relay. It's located on the plate which holds the ECU in place at the passenger footwell, and is well marked. It's purpose is to provide 12v power to the fuel pump until it's told NOT to, hence the name. This diagram is straight out of the 84 FSM and is specific to GSL-SE:

They don't go bad, in my experience.
