I've owned a couple of the 80 Leather Sports and have never thought to question whether there was any specific literature or a brochure that Mazda produced advertising the LS. My 80 LS is a very complete car with every manual and book, but looking through them, there is no mention of the LS. Wondered if anyone had any idea if Mazda ever produced anything advertising them.

 

Good question Dave. I do not recall ever seeing anything specific to LS's. They did have a special Ad for the 79 Limited that ran in popular magazines of the period, but I'm not aware of a factory brochure or even magazine ad for an LS or 10 A/E. Perhaps Stu can come up with something from his Library? I will keep an eye open for anything.

only Mazda media piece I have ever seen was the Renaissance Red Anniversary SA, with its piston brethren in a one-pager in car mags back in the day. And as Chris sez, the Limited got a full page too, but never came across any on the LS...

I haven't seen any literature or advertising the LS either. I have a page from a magazine for the 79 Limited and also one for the 83 LE. Nothing on the LS or the 10th Anniversary SA. I wonder if Mazda just snuck it in the lineup and did not advertise it at all.
