much less than you would have to put into it likley

Over here in N.A., I don't think a first gen has ever sold for more than 10K, lots of mint origonals go for 5-7K, at best.

I just can't ever see an 1st gen RX7 fetching ridiculous auction prices at Barret Jackson, unless the rotary became some future engine marvel ( ie hydrogen fuel success)

i have found a buyer for 1500. they are worth much more in australia than in the us as there arnt many of them around.

I saw an interesting article today on Japanese Nostalgic Car about the Spring and Summer Shot cars. It actually includes a link to this thread, so I thought it might be nice to link back to it from here to complete the loop.

That article includes some additional info on the cars and has some pretty good pictures of an 79 Summer Shot recently donated to a Toyota museum. I've been aware of these for some time and had some discussion about them with Stu when he was still around, but information on them is like the cars themselves, pretty rare. I had the chance to pick up a pair of Spring Shot badges a few years ago but didn't. Wish I had now. The link to Nostalgic Car:
