12at egr question

hi, just wondering if anyone has any information about blocking off the EGR system either in the center plate or the manifold on a factory 12AT?
is there any benefit to it?
i would think that the manifold would run cooler as it doesn't have hot gas going into it but will it have any adverse effect on the engine?
can it be blocked further down in the actual plate before the manifold?
any help would be appreciated,
thanks.
Jex.

12A-T doesn't have EGR, so one less thing to do
