12a turbo manifold

So I was browsing eBay and came across this lil guy. I had some issues with RW back when I bought parts for my old FC. Hopefully they run a much tighter ship now. Thoughts?

they seem like a viable option, but im not sure how much it would cost to have something like that made. I have been considering picking up one of their dual runner stainless headers for my 13b

You should get it. Im sure if it needs any lil tweaks, it should be fairly easy.

I really want to jump on it. I have been gathering parts to build a 12a turbo out of my spare engine.

I'm in the same boat, and I've been contemplating this as well. However, I've come to the conclusion I just want the 12A as a "spare". Nothing special on it no porting, no SP, and no boost.

Now just to figure a way to fit the 12A in the trunk with a fold up cherry picker

This manifold DOES tempt me however...

my wife gave me the "go ahead" I'm debating doing a soft seal kit, mild porting on the secondaries and see what happens
I have a feeling a lil project will snowball into a full-on build though

Guys heads up on this, I bought on of these through this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...-cars-1002184/

When you bolt the manifold to the engine there is not enough room for the turbo between the flange and the shock tower.

I am trying to work through Rene right now to get the one he sent me adjusted/fixed. I'll keep this updated for you guys to let you know what's going on.

For now though hope you didn't buy one of these yet......

honestly, why not? if an engine you will build, why build a "half-assed" engine? everyone that goes boosted thinks its great....and then , they get used to it, and want more... I think you should build a turbo 12A that will be an strong platform to build onto. Overkill now, or "oops" later

Over the last 8 years that ive actually stuck with the same car, ive spent enough money and time on parts and partial ideas to have myself a full blown built -RE and a strong reliable driveline/steering/suspension, but through improper planning and forethought, so far I just have a ported S4 6 port and worn out odds and ends

is that a stock S4 turbo? Looks like it won't take much to make it work. This is the reason why I was on the fence about this manifold. Last time I bought parts from RW I had fitment issues as well

Turbonetics T04B, asked if it would have any fitment issues in the ebay listing they list that one as one of the ones that will fit. Hopefully He'll work with me and we can get this right for everyone else as well

So it turns out that this manifold is for use with a tangential mount exhaust housing, unfortunately mine is a center on center turbo housing so that's why the turbo is hitting the shock tower. Looking at having Rene make up an adaptor that would bolt to my turbo and the manifold so tht I can use my current housing

Any pics? What did they charge you to fabricate your manifold?
