Nope! No flares or rolled fenders! 😏 Measured everything out countless times and found out a 15x8 with a -12 offset (I believe that's what it was) was the biggest I could go with all stock suspension and flares! Worked out great! And they were under 500 shipped! Great deal

I posted some pictures of my red 85 GSL-SE a week or so ago. Here are a couple of my 85 GSL that I converted to an electric. These were taken when I put it on the dyno at the Electric Vechicle conversion convention (EVCCon) last August. If you look closely you will notice that there is no exhaust pipe. The number on the side of the car was for the autocross and drag race record keeping.

I only had about 50 miles on the conversion at that time and I had the controller dialed back so I would not break anything. It produced 40HP and 80 ft-lb torque from 0 to 3000 rpm and then tapered off to about 15 HP at 5000RPM which is the recommended max RPM for the motor. This was exactly what I expected to see from the numbers. I currently have it set to the controller limits and am looking forward to trying the Dyno out again this year. Should be about 160HP and 277 ft-lb of torque from 0-4000 rpm. So not wildly amazing but quite a bit faster off the line than my GSL-SE.
