Finally!!!! ENKEI PF01 installed FD3S 18" pics

Well this turned out so nice. This wheel looks beautiful on the lowered FD.

18x9.5 +45 5x114.3 with 285/30/18 fender mods required.

There is a STANDARD FITMENT AND LOOKS THE SAME

18x9.0 +45 5x114.3 with 255/35/18 front and rear

OR STAGGER 255/35 and 275/35.

One of the best things about the PF01 is a great 9" offset for the front of the FD in 18", unlike the RPF1.

They are heavier than RPF1 around 20lbs, 18x9.5 but for cars other than FD it has a HUGE disk to clear big brakes. FD's are just a special case that they can run Low disk wheel with a bbk.

It's only 2 lbs.

I can't emphasize enough that Enkei is changing its policies for their M.A.T. process. They will make all their wheels heavier now because they noticed too much deflection in the RPF1.

They promise that you will see faster laptimes with one of the newer slightly heavier wheels. They have track tested and proven.

Not sure if you guys remember their article on the GTC01 where they produced the same wheel in lighter form and did track times. They proved that lighter isn't better and that the RPF1 if heavier would be faster.

Weight vs. Rigidity????

I'll post pics Rooshie once I get the car back and figure out if I'm gong to to powder coat them black or not. If only I could have compromise on a measly 1/2" of width, I could have had them in black to start with... oh well, stubborn does have it's price!!

Again, thanks for the extraordinary deal!!

Cheers,
Carlos

Not sure if my ad-killer is blanking out the article but I don't see anything. Anyone else have this problem?

Got my PF01's back from the powder coater today and they turned out gorgeous. Best of all, we FINALLY found the gremlin in my latest EFI install so I should have my car back by next month. I'll post pictures once the CYM has it's new matte black shoes!

Thumbs up BBK Clearance!

Took a couple of picture of the test fit for the 18x9.5 (+45) with my Brembo GT50 front calipers. Tons of room even with 355mm rotors!
  • About 5/8" between the caliper's "top" and the the inside rim
  • A hair over an inch from the caliper's outward logo'ed edge to the inside of the closest spoke.

Thanks Peter. Yeah, I'm really happy with the job that Extreme Powder Coating in Lorton did, though they certainly weren't cheap.

Boy, a 9.5/10.5 combo w/ 255/35 and 295/30's would be sweet. Hmmm....

Pete, I agree they look great, but with that rear you'd definitely need some serious fender rolling.

You're certainly welcomed to come by and check em out in person. I'm REALLY happy with how they turned our, though I'm not sure I'd compare them to your BBS beauties.

Anyways, I expect to have the car on the jack stands for a few more months, so no "stance" pictures for a little while.
