The goal of the project was to use the existing light housings, modify them to match the '99-spec “circle style” tails, but update the look by making them “rings” intead of circles. Features: Direct-conversion, uses your existing tail lights Functions similar to stock tail lights but... “Ring” design gives updated look while retaining stock styling of OEM housings Uses OEM type bulb bases for direct plug & play operation (installs like any normal bulbs) 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects*** LED Specifications: 264 Super-Bright Surface-Mount (SMD) LEDs Configured in 14 independently powered 'rings' (3 per brake light, 1 per turn signal). 2800mcd brightness per LED 50,000 operating-hour estimated lifespan. For this conversion we highly recommend sending either unmodified USDM (non-circle) taillights or authentic JDM (circle) tail lights. Many homemade conversions do not have correct circle sizes (80mm brake, 75mm signal) and/or correct circle placement. Due to the limited space within each tail light housing, the placement and size of the circles is critical for properly mounting the LED ring units behind the colored lenses. If you have USDM lights that have been modified by someone other than theorie, please contact us via email first so we can discuss options. Several customers have also told us they have decided to purchase a second set of unmodified USDM lights specifically for this conversion. This way they can keep their current set as a “backup” set (not that it’s needed!) and also keep the car on the road while their second set of lights is being converted. This is a very good idea and we highly recommend it to everyone participating in this group buy. Warranty / Disclaimer

Please note that this is a conversion uses the factory taillights, which are obviously DOT approved, however we are unaware if this modification affects/nullifies the lights DOT certification. Therefore, this conversion, as with most aftermarket modifications, is being sold for off-road/track uses only. We accept no responsibility for any legal ramifications in the event that these lights are deemed non-street legal by law enforcement, your state’s vehicle inspection, or your insurance company.

That being said, we don’t see any reason why any of the abovementioned parties would have an issue with these lights.

All conversions come with a 1-year warranty, effective upon the return shipment date, which covers any manufacturers defects. This includes, but is not limited to: defects in LEDs / wiring / LED-unit mounting, housing re-sealing problems (leaking, fogging), etc. This warranty does not include any pre-existing conditions on the original taillights. In the event of physical damage to the light housings (dropping, car accident, etc.), or if the housings are re-opened by anyone other than a representative of SakeBomb Garage, the warranty is immediately null and void.

If repairs are required within the warranty period, the customer is responsible for properly packing and shipping the defective part to SakeBomb Garage. Once repairs have been made, SakeBomb Garage will return the part to the customer for no additional shipping charge (i.e. you pay to ship it to us, we pay to ship it back.)

Once the warranty period has expired, repairs are offered for the price of replacement parts and return shipping (i.e. we are not going to make or spend any money to fix your lights – we will do them at cost, you pay shipping both ways.)
