You could place the AFR in a gauge pod by the driver side or somewere in the dash. I don't think that the AFR is digital i know it is it displays the engine afr http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=70 If the AFR is in the red then you are running too rich or too lean which could damage the egine so you might want to get it check out.
I apologize i made a mistake when i typed. What i tryied to say was that the display of the AFR is much more simpler than the SAFC. I had the SAFC and now i have the AFR and i like it much better.

Can I ask you a Question? Did you buy the SAFC to monitor the AFR?
It doesn't seem you are reading or comprehending what we are telling you about the difference between the SAFC and the AEM. Also, I forgot that the AEM gauge had a digital display in the center of it so that gauge portion is digital.

This is funny! Lets just keep beating the dead horse. SAFC is adjustment of AFR, while wideband is monitoring AFR. TWO SEPERATE THINGS, AND ONE IS CRAP WITHOUT THE OTHER, PERIOD........Hahahahahahahahahahahahahah! P.S. I got it along time ago, I read the product description before buying both. Ported motor with SAFC and wideband added while engine was out. Should be in and running next week. YES!!!!!!!

No, With a stand alone i don't need a SAFC, unless i wan to have extra gadgets. The stand alone would take care of that.

You were right i went to a meet this past Sunday and it was explained to me better. You are right, but most people don't bother with the SAFC.

Glad you understand now.
If you heard this from the meet you went to, its wrong. MOST people go with the SAFC since its a cheap easy way of getting your engine tuned untill you can afford to go with something better if you feel you want to upgrade. A lot of people stick with the SAFC since thats all they really need and/or want.
He meant that you would need a wideband o2 system for either the SAFC or Standalone. By a system I mean a wideband o2 sensor and controller since the wideband o2 sensor is useless without the controller.
