SC noob with a question about my 2nd Gen

i have a 91 fc and i live in charleston sc where it gets pretty hot and when i turn on my air conditioning my RPM needle shoots down and my car shuts off, is my engine running too hot? im not a mechanic so please help me out, thanks a lot

Your idle needs to be adjusted, and the BAC may not be working. Turning on the A/C puts mechanical load on the engine, which will drop idle speed unless something compensates (such as the BAC). If your car is not idling at 7-800 RPM warm, it will need to be adjusted.
