MD Base Map needed for 850/1600 idling way too rich!

i just got my power fc installed in my FC. Banzai hooked me up with a base map but it idles way too rich. At idle my wideband read 9.0! i dont have access to a datalogit so i just needed something to get me around for a few weeks til my tuner is free. any input will help thanks.

It could be that it just needs tuning (no guarantees with any basemap), but are you sure you don't have a major vacuum leak or some other problem? Without a Datalogit you can't load anything up anyway.

You can't load alternate base maps without a datalogit. If it is running that rich there is something else wrong. The base map supplied to you was developed on a dyno for a car here at the shop, it would still need tuning but it will not be that far off. Check your base fuel pressure, make sure it is set at 40psi not running with the fuel pump jumpered.

Did you go into your commander and lean out the portion of the inj. Map where it idles? That should help. But it will still idle rich with 850s. I was glad I switched back to 550s after having the 850s in there.

Also check the map to make sure it's set up for the correct MAP sensor. Are you running stock or a 3 Bar?

Go into your commander and turn off the o2 function and see if that helps. Most people turn that off anyway and you don't need the o2 sensor working
