86 GXL That has been sitting

I recently bought a 1986 GXL (this car sat for 3 years). Replaced the break Calipers and still have to bleed them (didn't bench blead). Replaced Plugs and Wires. The thing is there is a spot in the acceleration where the car kinda dies out. This would be around 3500 to 4000 RPM. What could this be. Vaccum leak or bad Valve (pcv, egr, ect). I want the full power out of this car. Then i think my clutch is going out. Cant get into any Gears. pedal is low resistance and sticks to the floor and there is no air in the line? Could this be master or slave cylinder. I really Appreciate anyones advise. Please Help

Clutch pedal sticking to the floor can be either the master or slave cylinder. A stumble or dead spot around 3800RPM is a really common issue. I have it with mine and I was told it is the ECU grounds most likely, since that is when the secondary injectors kick on.

check and reground the ground under the intake manifold... right on the top of the motor, ecu grounds as well.. also read the FAQ in the 2nd gen section.

There is no reason for him to do an engine swap unless he plans to. The 3,800 RPM hesitation happens a lot to second gen. Rx-7s. It can be the ground for the ECU like Zero10 said or your secondary fuel injectors are not kicking in/clogged/leaking. Since it sat for awhile it is a good idea to clean the fuel system out good and take out the 4 injectors and send them out to be professionally cleaned and flow tested. I heard Witchunter is a good place to get that done. As for the clutch the problem is probably the clutch master cylinder or the line is leaking fluid and is making it lose pressure. Are there any leaks under the car around the clutch pedal area?

Check the injector plugs themselves to make sure they are not loose or damaged.

try bleeding the clutch first. if that doesn't work, then start with the slave cylinder.

wow first i gotta say thanks for the Advise and reply. I bled the clutch again and it came right back to life but after a 20 minute drive it was having trouble getting into gear and while trying to bleed again i snapped the bleed screw off. So i am gonna get another slave cylinder. Now when you are saying Ground for the ecu (itsfun / zero10) this is a ground wire that needs to be redone possibly. I do have a Haynes Manual so while i am in the intake manifold i should remove my injectors and have them cleaned too. While i am doing that i am gonna change the fuel filter. I already ran some Sea Foam but was thinking the Filter would be a good idea as well. so i still have a clutch question and just to let you guys know i can still fly in this car i was going 105 mph and didnt even realize it. Could the injectors and ground still be the problem. ------this will take time as my funding is limited------ where can i find a PCV valve direct fit? probly too many questions right?

I'm surprised nobody said bad TPS sensor... those always go bad in FC's.

True, do a test on the TPS sensor there is a plug on the passenger side of the engine bay that checks it its one of the green ones i think

I would definantly check the ecu ground, and the tps senser is a solid idea as well, there are always some issues there.
