Car shakes when coming down around 1,000 rpm... is this normal?

I test drove an FD today and I noticed that when I reved the engine up at a light it shoke around 1,000 rpm on its way back down. Other than that it ran very well. Is this normal? If not is this a problem and what is wrong? I am thinking about buying this car because the engine was replaced 3k miles ago but I don't want to get it if there is something wrong.

Thanks,
-Charlie

1k rpm shaking

My car does the same thing when I first bought it used, but weird enough the problem went away by itself and I don't even recall when it went away either.

I don't know if I would call it a problem. Keep in mind that it's the eccentric shaft spinning at 1000 rpm, the rotors are only spinning at ~300 rpm. to stop the deceleration of the rotors and to do it at such a low rpm is going to cause a little bit of a shimmy. it's normal.

Alright thanks guys. What about door dents? Have you ever had them removed and if so how much was that? I need a ball park figure so I can figure out how much I am afford to pay for the car and still have some left over to have the doors fixed.

$50-75 per dent/ding by Dent Pro. Check yellow pages for one near you.

Large dents may require bondo and repaint.
