Adjusting height, coil-overs, what am I doing wrong?

I've got some Stance coil-overs and I can't figure out how to adjust the height to raise my car up.

The manual calls for at least a inch and a half threaded on the lower mounting bracket or something might break, even with this my car was around 23 inches from the ground to the wheel arches on stock wheels.

It would seem that the thing everything is threaded onto would thread further down allowing more thread available for the lower bracket(I hope that makes sense) but all it does is spin in place.

The rears are the same but no where near as low.

What am I doing wrong?

That just doesn't seem right since I need to raise it around two and a half inches, I'll give it a shot though.

Above stock height? I'd be happy at 25", isn't stock above 26" somewhere? It just seem that at full extension all I can do is slightly above 23" inches, it just doesn't seem right.

The spring perch needs to go up. You might not have it set properly and there is too much slack on the spring.

At the 23" I have them hand tightened, I'm going to see if it would raise it up any if I kept threading them up with the wrenches.

hand tighten isn't going to be enough. Do you have an instruction sheet? I know when I got my Teins there was instruction with them with a initial setting on where to set the spring perch.

I have the instruction manual it came with. It says do not adjust height via spring perch unless it's to corner balance the car, nothing about what it should be set at.

Other forums say it should just be hand tightened.

What size tires do you have on your car?

What are the front spring rates?

I know this is asking the obvious. But, I'd check to make sure these are the right coilovers for our car. These don't need helper springs, do they? My understanding is like yours, the upper spring perch only affects pre-load and it's the lower locking ring that adjusts ride height. You already have the coilover separated (at the bottom) and that's where the ride height adjusts... when I got my coilovers they sent me the wrong spring rate. Might want to give Stance a call

both perches will change your ride height. preloading the spring raises the car. the instructions just tell you not to mess with it because if you preload the rear too far, it can create some wonky handling issues. ("too far" being like 2" maybe). so yah if you actually need to raise the car another 2", and you're out of room on the bottom... maybe you do have a real issue to address.

can other stance owners comment on this? i know theyre designed to go low, but that does seem excessively low for how he has them setup.
