Smog check help

Smog check help
I just got my smog check done and my car didnt pass. I need some help finding out what could it be. I changed my spark plugs and air filter so far, it runs rich and has high CO level. what can i do before i spend more money?

Get a Hi Flo cat,,rotary engines burn the **** out of Catalytic converters Quickly.
Check the cat by Removing it or Tapping on it to see if the "Innards" are still in the cat!..Meow!haha.!
I had a RX7 that failed Miserably,the previous owner had Removed the Guts of the catalytic.
Btw,Rotaries run rich all the time.(unless you get a standalone or something to control fuel).

Post specs about your car and the actual numbers of the failed smog test.
Do you have:
Working airpump?
Working cat?
Working o2s?
Working EGR (S4)?
Competent smog technician?
If so, your car will pass fine.
