best place to wire electric fan?

best place to wire electric fan?

where is the best place to wire an electric fan. i would like to have it only come on and stay on when the key is in the on position, and then cut off when it goes to teh start position, that way all of the my battery is going to starting my engione. any help?

Do you mean without any thermostatic control? That’s pretty pointless, since half the reason you replace the stock fan is to remove parasitic drag. Having the fan run all the time simply add a huge load to the alternator, increasing it's drag on the engine. This will also be very hard on the alternator and battery over time. Do it right and get a temp control switch for the fan.

alright i will do that. the way it is wired up right now is the way it was wired up when i got the car. and since this is my first RX7 (or any high performance vehicle for that matter) i was not sure how to wire it up

i wired a ground interrupter to mine....works great!
ran a switch under the dash

I just went to pep boys and got a realy for it, cost me $20 and got instuctions with it too LOL, did mine today, love it already.
