Need help plz - Limp mode

So i am having an issue with my newly acquired 91 vert. the guy i bought it off said he did an engine swap not to long ago, that the engine need a vaccum hose to be connect in order for it to run smooth....being that the body is in great shape and the top works...i bought it. by the way its an automatic...well the vaccum hose was connect... when i went tried to take it out for a spin the car starts to miss and the check engine came on...well the code of the engine stated that the oil meter pump was not good...i went ahead and bought a used one and changed it....i disconnected the battery and press on the brake for 15 seconds to reset computer....drove it and after a few minutes i did the same thing.. i changed the meter again...reset the computer and went for a drive not even driving for a minute it started miss firing.....
any suggestions guys...plz help want to enjoy my car this summer....thanx

A failed OMP puts it into limp mode. But you can't just replace the OMP itself, since the ECU is almost always damaged at the same time. Replace the ECU & the OMP, and it should go back to normal.

I don't think a damaged ECU can burn out an OMP (just the other way around), so you'll hopefully be ok.
