FD Front A-Arm Bushing Rubber Shims

I am re-installing the OEM suspension bushings in my 1993 FD and am looking for some help on the front A-arms. Its been 8 years since I removed these parts, and the cobwebs are pretty thick. In the attached image, it looks per the manual that there is suppose to be rubber shims on both sides of the lower A-arm bushings; I only have one shim for the front bushing, am I missing one? For the upper A-arm, I do not have two bushings with shim ends on them; I do not remember removing/damaging these when I pushed them out nearly a decade ago, but then again it has been nearly a decade ago... I guessed that the shimmed bushing should go to the rear since under braking or cornering loads, this seemed like the likely location that could possibly be axially loaded.

Any help is greatly apreciated.

Glenn

I just did SuperPro bushing on the front. The upper A-arm bushings are shimmed as you say on the outside. The pictures you attached look like something is missing there.

Same with the lower. Basically one bushing has a shim as part of it and then there is a separate rubber shim you use. It looks missing on your picture. The other bushing has no shims as part of the bushing so has 2 separate ones you use. In your picture this looks correct.

I damaged one of the 4 bushings on the top when I removed them but you are welcome to the other 3. I also have all the shims for the lower bit. I damaged the non-rubber bushings though. BTW they are oil filled and one exploded when I was removing it. NASTY!

Well if you want my bits make an offer. I'll sell cheap + shipping. :-)
