the fb just doesn't look right without them. with the design of the bumpers with the wide strip to wrap around the front and rear, the molding continues that look down the sides and ties it all together. i'm sure there something on the market that will allow u to remove them to paint the car and then reattach them. now painting them the same color as u do the car, getting the paint to stay on without peeling off is going to be a trick in itself.

yea thats what i was wondering
i don't want to have to do too much to fix them but they do need a little newer color tint to them so either way my teacher has an idea

were gonna paint them with the car
if they look shitty we can just tape everything up and strip the paint of them with a really fine grit and then try a product he came across thats supposed to be like umm if youve seen bumper paint for like the suvs and stuff like that

On my car the ones on the front bumper and at the sides before the front wheels were painted to match the car....the rest have been removed.

I didn't paint that section of the car so I don't know what prep work was done, but the paint shows no signs of wanting to peel off at all.

That said, if you don't wanna to be paranoid about getting small dents all down the side of your car, leave all of the strips on the car.

Cam...

I think it depends on the color. If your car is dark, it will look great with the side moldings off. If it's light colored though, I think it looks wrong.

I've always liked your car Cam. Looks great

Was !2@ love the color very nice.

Here's my car w/moldings not painted. I just painted it last summer. The cars still kinda dusty, I just got done putting it back together, when the pix was taken.
