My '88 RX7 has NO power.
I bought my '88 RX7 Convertible non-turbo in April and had a blast driving it all summer long. I've been driving it this fall too... though I did park it for the past two weeks. I'm in Iowa and it's been absolutely beautiful up here... no cold weather or other elements to speak of.
I went out this weekend to take a cruise with the top down... and nothing happened when I turned the key to accessory and obviously to start it. Again, even turning the key to accessory gave me no juice. I've done the basic things like first try to jump it, then replace the battery, then replace the main 80amp fuse. Nothing.
It only has 100,000 miles on it and I've had no problems with it to this point. Furthermore, I bought it from a buddy that had it for nearly 20 years and since 30,000 miles--and he's never had issues with it.
Help!

Check the condition of the battery cables and clamps.
Check for 12V at the main 80A fuse.
It is possible the key switch has failed. If you check the FAQ, you will find a like to download the factory service manual. Look at the wiring diagrams to find the 12V feed to the key switch (black I think) and the ACC wire (blue?) and IGN wire (black/white?). Check for 12V at each of those wires with the key in the appropriate position.
