wiring harness question s4 t2 us to s4t2 jspec

Im swapping an s4 t2 us spec motor with a jspec s4 t2 motor. Id realy like to use the jspec harness and ecu. What would be easier , modding the jspec harness to work with my car or repairing and modding the us spec harness to work with the jspec motor?

Let's see......both engines have four injectors..........four sparkplugs......a boost sensor..........a afm...............so why would you have to modify a USA harness to fit a Jap engine? You don't is the answer as far as I know.

Modify a Jap engine to mate with a USA Front harness??????? senseless in my opinion.

Never use a JSPEC ECU if you have a USA ECU is my humble opine.

Uh, just swap the engine itself and be done with it. You're over complicating things.

I was hoping to use the jspec harness because I believe it may be in better shape than my harness. I guess I may just have to repair my us spec harness or look for some other alternative

what's wrong with your original factory harness? I have depinned connectors on harnesses and replaced them with better ones from other harnesses. If the original harness wrap isn't in the best shape, use some of this self-fusing stuff: http://www.2751engineering.com/cart/...3&productid=79

the only thing that would make me sketch out about your original harness is if there have been multiple SAFC etc installations, shitty splices and problems with the shielding.
