Can anyone recommend a source for steering parts?

I'm not down-under. But I have a '77 Right Hand Drive Savanna here in New Orleans, LA, USA.

My steering box after nearly thirty years of service did not survive hurricane Katrina.

Can any of you discuss where you get service or parts for RHD steering pieces? Or, perhaps if anyone has converted over to a rack & pinion unit for RHD; I'd love to hear back from you on particulars.

Thanks,
TMM

If you wanted to go to a fast ratio, I think it's Melloyellow(??) on Ausrotary who's remanufactured one of the factory options if the worm is stuffed.

Try www.re-speed.com

They are a US based company from memory and I think they were developing their LHD rack and pinion kit to be RHD also.

Bump.

I'm still looking for steering parts for Right Hand Drive 1st-gen rx-7. Does anyone have any spares or know if the replacement parts are being reproduced now that it's 2 years since this original post?

Thanks -- TMM

What parts are you chasing exactly?

I can see if mazda still make them over here...second hard parts for the 1st gens tend to be quite rare around my area...

I need a replacement steering box and idler for a right-hand drive '77 Savanna. Or, an upgrade path to rack and pinion.

Thanks -- TMM
