What an adventure... I tell yah! Finally got my first FC, a 87 RX7 base model.

Not in the greatest condition, it has minor flaws, such as...

1. deteriorating paint on roof and hood
2. loose stick shift
3. banged up right fender
4. rusted exhaust and piping
5. right door jammed
6. minor rust on the frame railing underneath the driver side

Overall I paid $575 for a running FC! Took the Train from Ontario to Goleta, and drove it home to Ontario. Ran without a fuss,
definitely a memorable day!

nothin beats a running car. good luck with it and try to hang out in the 2nd gen archives/technical section to gain some knowledge about it.

5 lug conversion, suspension, exhaust and fresh fluids w/ new plugs and you're ready to rock and blow! LOL

 

Sounds like he's got Rotary Fever........He's going to daydream all day about the Rx7 how it sounds,smells and what else to do to make it go faster........these are some of the symptoms
of this nasty fever.

Hope you have a Girl friend who likes the smell of gas and the time your going to spend on your RX7.You'll be on top of that car 24/7 guarantee.

Main plan is to convert to turbo 2. Not right away though... For now just maintain it and fix the minor flaws.
