rx7 2nd gen. not turning over

while i was driving my 87 rx7 non turbo i spun out in the rain and my rear end road a wall it bent one of my mufflers and took some paint of the bumper now the car wont even turn over and i have no idea why any hints or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any power anywhere in the car? Sounds like you may have knocked the battery loose.

Please try to be more careful in the rain. You're lucky you didn't hit someone else.

well i was gettting on the highway and there was no one around and i wasnt even messing around i took the corner like i always do in the rain and the rear end never so much as bugged anyways i did knock the battery loose because i didnt tighten the holddown but i tightened it and the lights turn on with full power so i dont think it is the battery any other ideas?

There are some pretty good procedures in the FSM (see FAQ sticky) for testing the starter. Applying 12V to the solenoid should crank the engine. If it does not, then check that the main starter connection (thick wire) is getting 12V. If it is, then the problem is likely the solenoid.
