My SA is getting ready to be painted. Progress here.

So For many many years I have wanted to paint my SA We got to work on it today. Plan is to be done by the first of the week.

The plan is a two tone job, will weld in most of the Badge holes and other unneeded ones.

As it sits

The bottom color is going on it.

Prep for welding

Decepticons Rule! Sorry about that. Nothing like making that final step into fresh paint. Just take your time with the prep, and you'll thank yourself later.

That is Bobby with the ink most popular tat in the shop.

we hope to prep it right, not many dents but a lot of holes to weld and a little surface rust to get out.

That will look good when you are done, like they said prep work is the key, and theres nothing like fresh paint to make your car look brand new.

it is not a mustang so no one in this area really even cares what it is.

Shaving a few other things, just hopping I will like it after.

Actually, the JDM market FBs (OK, technically, SAs over there) offered 2-tones in some later model years.

when I get my car prepped I plan on debadging 90% and just leaving the GSL-SE plaque out rear and thats it. Maybe the Mazda in the front but I will def be removing the fender RX7 ones and at least ONE Mazda plaque.

Good job and keep it going! cant wait to see it once it is done!
