What engines can be swaped?

What engines can be swaped?
ok, I just got home and found an 85 rx-7 gsl-se for $500. the engine is damaged from overheating. I know i can swap engines, which ones are the best, where can i get them, and how much would the swap be if i did all the labor myself (ball park)?

i think you can only run a certain 13b in that car so your limited,
should be able to pick up an engine on ebay for around $800.00
install it yourself and you just saved an easy $750.00 - $1,500.00
shouldnt take more then a weekend to do the swap

just noticed your in ohio,
im in michigan
supply some room and board for a weekend and we will have some bbq's and do the swap over the weekend,
might even be able to con jeremy and mike p into coming up from ky

LOL Juts joking, my ******* vert is GIVING me nothing but problems, I got in the car this morning and the f^%ker started up and decided it didnt like the brand of antifreeze I gave it, and decided to puke it all over the floor!!! (Bad heater to engine hose) and I still got to put that brand new radiator in

Aint no one got one either probally, I wanted to swap the radiator today and get the vert at tip top shape. Then paint the top part of the firewall and drop my cosmo engine and t2 trans in the 85 today... I got a shitload of work to do... I think these cars talk at nite, the 85 brags and the 88 feels bad and decided to break!

If you're ditchin the Fuel Injection, then it's even easier.
I will be selling My 1985 GSL-SE 13B out of my perfectly Running GSL-SE in about 30 days if you're interested. Probably go for $500 with the GSL-SE Tranny.

You can pretty much use any 6 port 13B (84-92) without much of a problem, as long as you use the GSL-SE Front Cover and oil pan.
