can any of u guys with a t78 turbo, tell me how much power u are pushing. I was told today that i would only push about 350 hp with my turbo on pump gas, thats really sucks i thought i would get more. what do i need to do to get high 4s-500hp? can somebody please help me. oh yeah my car doesnt have any type of porting on it but it is a fresh rebuild.

 

If your dead set on keeping your turbo setup, you can go full bridgeport, add meth injection and you'll be over 500rwhp on pump gas.

 

I'm building my car right now for 500 on pump with meth. I have a T78. My mods are below, and after much research, I should reach 500 pretty safely.

greddy t78 kit with the PFS race stock mount intercooler
TEC GT ems & ignition system
competition clutch 6 puck sprung ceramic clutch
SR motorsports 9.6lb flywheel
3" exhaust
Greddy elbow
Fuel: 1680cc secondaries, 720cc primaries, SARD FPR, dual fuel pumps walbros (although I may replace the primary pump with a denso/supra pump or go with the Kenne Bell boost-a-pump, i just happen to already have an extra walbro around).
Meth injection - 1200ml/minute nozzle, w/ progressive controller (3D meth)
I run premix, no OMP.
I have the R2 model so dual oil coolers.

I'm thinking with the meth kicking in at 15psi and increasing until i hit 20 psi, i think I should hit 500 somewhat reliably.

and on the previous tune, before the fuel upgrades and meth, it hit 375hp at 15psi.

If anyone sees anything wrong with my setup feel free to criticize (constructively haha)

 

oh and i'm aiming to finish installing the fuel system and get tuned by the end of march, so i'll be able to post results at that point. until then its all speculation.

how much power will i get if i dont port, but i do plan on doing the methanol inj. i was just gonna do a nippo denso pump, or i can different if needed to make more power. going with a v-mount,stock primaries,1600 secondaries,pfc,and maybe the twin power, alot of this i already order please tell me what should i do

 

If you have stock ports, but run meth inj, you will just need to run more boost. Probably 22-25lbs

Stock seals are actually fine, they just take out alot when you ping. You can run 30+ on stock seals. Just make sure your tuner is good A good meth inj. system won't hurt either. BTW, I was in Jamaica this past weekend. We could have hooked up!

I'm running a T78,street port,1680 secondaries,greddy fmic,265l fuel pump and straight through exhaust system @12psi,0.9bar on standard pump fuel and got 492hp.Was more than happy with it.I drove a gt35r turbo fd at the weekend and wasn't feelin what I feel in mine.I've gone past gtr's,carrera's and m3's.It's scary power.I actually don't want anymore power from it.They are a tuners dream!!!!Anyways,onwards and upwards with the 20b fd!

 

yeah I know who he is..not to talk though..every1 in racing in Ja knows who he is. Does pretty well on the local scene in the circuit and rally as you said. He actually driving the old AMS TA1 evo right now...awesome machine

492 on 12psi with the T78? that's rediculous!! when did you get tuned? GREAT NEWS!

 

Any dyno graphs because i think this would be a record for a streetported 13b 492 @ 12psi
