99 turn signal info........

hey does anyone know if you can remove the orange thingy from the 99 turn signal...and does it look good without it?? help me out on this one...thanks....

Yeah I don't think anyone has the ballz to take apart a '99 signal light to try it.. so I don't think anyone has..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the "orange thing" in the '99 turn signals is just an orange colored bulb inside a little reflector. If you put a different color bulb in there it won't be orange any more. I've seen a couple of pics of cars with clear or blue.

its not just a bulb theres a cover that if you open the lens you can screw it out tho. I have them, actually I had 2 sets and did it to one of them. IMO it looks better with it, and the turn signal bulb is way too bright without the cover, since they used some crazy big *** projector lite wannabe bulb. Anyways they are also too expensive to really mess with and heating the lense to open them is a bitch, since you can see the glue from underneath it too. Not like doing the rearend where the glue is hidden.

yeah, that sounds reasonable...that was what i was thinking too. However is it easy to open up the 99' turn signals? and what size bulb do they use on the clear one and the amber one?
